Michael Sugarman is an associate with the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Steven Goldsobel, Mr. Sugarman served as a Law Clerk in the United States District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Sugarman conducted in-depth legal research and analysis and drafted Reports and Recommendations, Orders and other documents for the Magistrate Judges.
Mr. Sugarman graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he also served as the Executive Editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. Mr. Sugarman also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, where he received his B.A. in History and minored in Spanish.
During law school, Mr. Sugarman served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable George H. Wu of the United States District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Sugarman also served as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on three separate occasions. He has extensive experience handling preliminary hearings and working with the local prosecutors.
Mr. Sugarman also has worked with Bet Tzedek, Loyola Marymount University and Public Counsel.
